4 Medieval Castles in a Day - Food & Culture Private Tour from Madrid

We are going to visit 4 castles of medieval period in a day. These impressive and amazing castles are different, two of them acted as residences for noblemen and bishops, the others simply were built in the middle of nowhere.

To complement the experience, we shall have our lunch at the dining room of one of the most formidable structures of medieval Spain: the Bishop's Castle of Sigüenza, originally dating from the 12th century.

This tour is a surprise into the medieval period of Spain, just about an hour's drive from Madrid city centre you will find yourself in another world where time seems to be moving at a different pace and the landscape tends to get wilder the further away we drive from Madrid.

Itinerary:

1. Departure from Madrid at 09:00 am.
2. Arrive to Torija at 10:00 am and visit the castle.
3. Drive (20') to Jadraque and visit the Castle of El Cid.
4. “Tapas” break.
5. Next stop: Sigüenza, visit the Cathedral and lunch at the Castle.
6. After lunch: Atienza, impressive and very well-preserved medieval village where we will put an end to the tour.
7. Coffee break.
8. Probably drive back to Madrid using the same road, but an interesting option is to cross the mountains.

This is a full-day excursion that includes lunch. Please be aware that we will be arriving back to Madrid in the evening. It is also flexible, of course, feel free to make suggestions as we go along!
